Our Owners –- Meet The Founders

Orion’s Attic owners and spouses Christopher (Chris) Lancette and Won-ok Kim are a pair of social entrepreneurs dedicated to running a private company that solves estate liquidation, downsizing, and antiques and collectibles problems for clients – and that strives to make the world a better place.

The mantra of making a difference and not just a living runs through everything Orion’s Attic does. We are passionate about protecting the environment – placing an exceptional emphasis on giving objects second lives through re-selling, recycling, upcycling and donating. We run a pro bono labor of love multimedia website at EyeOnSligoCreek.com. (Read more about our environmental commitment.)

We pay our staff members well, which is why we’re able to retain top talent for many years. We create youth employment opportunities, hiring and mentoring young people who have stayed with us from high school through college graduation.

Our company supports a wide range of charities in a variety of ways. We bring truckloads of donations to some of our favorite organizations such as A Wider Circle.  Orion’s Attic makes regular monetary contributions and raises support for House With A Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary. We conduct fundraising events for select nonprofits. Our personal efforts include making our home available to certain nonprofit organizations for board meetings and other events. We also donate to and volunteer for a number of other nonprofit organizations, too.

Our environmental ethics anchor Orion’s Attic. We wear them on our sleeves and seek to do good for Mother Earth with every project we tackle.
